Divorce suit ends in courthouse shooting and death

In Los Angeles a man sued for divorce opened fire in a courthouse corridor, fatally wounding his wife and wounding three others before police stopped him. Christopher Dilbeck, 62, identified as a songwriter, fired a .22 caliber pistol, then shouted kill before being disarmed by officers.

Vernon Slaying Case Shocks Community

A 12-year-old girl Sherry Lucas died after being beaten in her Vernon home. Police charged a 15-year-old boy with murder as her father Joseph Lucas was seriously injured from a hammer attack. The father and daughter were found after a motorist reported a man with a bloody face nearby.
