Prices later rallied on higher temporary futures in the Southwest and firm spot basins as Japan and China bought, but sentiment stayed soft due to continued weak Liverpool influence and anticipation that demand cannot absorb new crop supply. Futures fell to 17.40 amid a broader market retreat, with limited upside as merchants seek steady demand and stable prices.
