Farmers Find Truck Pays When Delivering Goods
Local Ohio farmer Otto X. Gall near Columbus led a farm efficiency push called the industrial romance. He bought a one ton Republic truck and now makes three weekly trips to market loading lettuce rhubarb and corn. Gall says the truck saves feed and horse costs, enhances profits, and frees him from horse upkeep, proving a single motor vehicle can replace multiple teams even on icy roads.

New York July 3. War Industries Board official Georges N Peck urged a 40 to 50 percent cut in pneumatic tire production in America for August and September compared with the first half of the year. The request targets all rubber articles and seeks to shift to government business alone, while allowing auto casings and tubes at August September volumes equal to the six month average.
