Milford Highways Progress Delayed by Local Standstill
Milford, April 20. Major highway improvements begun last spring with a 158 000 bond appropriation proceed slowly. Several key streets remain unfinished including east roadway from Cedar Street to Broderick's Corner and sections on Myrtle Beach and River Street. Ongoing land negotiations, notably with Mrs. J. E. Broderick over East Broadway land, hinder final layout and may lead to condemnation. A one ton truck for highway work is planned. Judge Omar W. Platt recovers from appendicitis. community events include lodge visit, church sale, and Woodmont PTA final meeting.
