Radio equipment for your automobile debut
San Francisco April 14 tests of a motor car with a radio transmitter and receiving apparatus were conducted successfully. The antenna is supported on two folding posts that lie along the car’s side when not in use. A sound-amplifying attachment on the right greatly enhances volume, and during tests an orchestra miles away could be heard by passengers while the car ran at 80 miles per hour. A message from Massachusetts was received.

Academy of Labor Opens for Workers in Germany

Seventy two students from diverse backgrounds enrolled for the first year, learning in a format with lectures followed by public forums, aiming to train trade union leaders while keeping politics out of the core program. The main challenge is the students’ prior lower education, hindering a 16 hour monthly course across many subjects.
