After converting the rest of the estate to cash six equal shares are created and bequeathed to six entities including Bridgeport Young Women's Christian Association Tubercular Hospital Wallingford George Junior Republic Bridgeport Boys Club Bridgeport Christian Association. Charles Watkinson, a 66 year old gardener and father to a deceased daughter, has been missing since Friday. Police and relatives search from the Lawson home at 206 Holly Street, with Detective Sergeant Peter Hall tracing his movements after he left to trim a lawn at Henry Beach's residence on Lafayette Street. He has extreme melancholy since his daughter’s death and a grandson’s death, and fears he may have taken his own life. He was last seen in a brown coat and vest, patched pants, dark Bray shirt, black tie, and a black derby with a mourning band.

Coroner J. J. Phelan investigates the death of Percy Earle a Concord railroad machinist killed on a viaduct while a friend William A. Somers risked his life to save him. The two had walked from Derby to Newark seeking work after layoffs in Boston and Main shops. A freight train passed at speed Earle tried to board slipped between cars and was killed. Somers attempted a rescue and earned immediate employment through the act. Earle's body sent to Cullinan and Mullins morgue with estrangement from his Norwich Conn wife and Saugus Mass sisters believed.
