Reduction Plant Uses Garbage and Ashes in Staten Island Visit
Messrs Bogart Osborne and Ober returned from inspecting a Staten Island plant used for a crematory. The plant reduces garbage and ashes at high heat to light slag used in concrete. Installing a Bridgeport size plant would cost about 120000 dollars with reduction costs around 1.25 dollars per ton. The process works well but is costly to install and operate.
