Prominent East End Oyster Dealer Found Drowned in Well
William D. Smith, longtime Bridgeport oyster dealer and East End resident, was found drowned in a rear well at his DeKalb Avenue home. Mrs. Smith discovered his body about 6 am after noticing a missing husband and a strange noise. Medical Examiner said accidental drowning. Survived by widow, six children, and three brothers. funeral arrangements by Cullinan & Mulligan. He had lived in Bridgeport 30 years and belonged to several fraternal organizations.

No Damages For Man Thrown Out Of Piano Store
Judge Howard B. Scott ruled for the defendant in a suit by Stephen Van of 48 Bunnell Street against W Hart, manager of M berg Piano Co.
