Wheat crop is a bumper report from Washington
The June crop report says this year’s wheat crop will be the greatest yet, with estimated yields of 764,291,857 bushels. Winter wheat near 480,000,000 and spring wheat about 284,700,000, with spring acreage at a record high and overall yields per acre rising. Drought in May affected crops, but conditions have improved nationwide, especially in the Pacific Northwest. Maine French Canadians Convene Amid Bishop Walsh Clash

Delegates from ninety eight Maine societies gathered, while the bishop’s warnings spurred a mass open air St. John's Day event. Alfred Bonneau defended the dissolution fight over church property and hinted the struggle has just begun. Dr Morris Horwitz arrives from Baltimore to visit family as Panama Canal tests begin on a rock coating machine. Farmer Want Ads noted.
