Brandon Consolidated School Opens in Brandon
Brandon patrons gathered at the Brandon consolidated school house Monday at 8:30 for opening exercises led by Superintendent Knox M. Broom. Dr. Hutton of Jackson led devotions and spoke to students. Courses and teacher duties were outlined. 139 students enrolled, a record for years. Contractors expect the new building ready before Christmas, with plans for modern equipment and an up to date playground.

Old Blue Front Store Building Again Occupied

Third White Man In Same House In Brandon
Dr. LC White a tick eradicator and his family will occupy the Watson home as Dr Watson takes the Thomas house. This marks the third White family to live there in twenty years, none related to each other. Prior occupants were Dr W H White and later G W White sheriff of Rankin County.
