Trustees Report Highlights Savings at Insane Hospital

The board including R. E. Gayden reported to the legislature that the insane hospital returned 38,324.21 to the state treasury for two fiscal years ending October 1. Since P. B. Bridges became steward eight years ago, about 154,000 has been turned back to taxpayers through frugality and competitive supply buying. Upgrades included building officers dwellings, barns, repairs, and the purchase of 500 acres of land paid from the support fund.
