Vikings release Jenkins to clear 3.25 million cap space
The Minnesota Vikings cut wide receiver Michael Jenkins saving 3.25 million under the cap. Jenkins, 29, had 40 receptions for 449 yards and two touchdowns last season and 38 receptions for 466 yards in 2011, but age and injuries limited his impact. The move leaves Percy Harvin, Jarius Wright, and Stephen Burton as the experienced wideouts under contract. Jerome Simpson and Devin Aromashodu become free agents next week.
