Texas Aviation Funds Face Funding Cut Under New Federal Plan
Texas faces loss of more than 400 000 dollars in state airport building aid if federal aviation legislation passes. New charges would raise aviation fuel tax to seven cents a gallon and add fees on aircraft licensing and per pound costs, while expanding taxes on passenger and cargo movements. TAC seeks state jet fuel tax to replace funds and maintains ongoing 824 500 dollar construction aid projects across multiple Texas towns.
