Eugene Williams retired after 33 years with the Brady Post Office. A farewell party at the Brady Community Center included Acting Postmaster T. A. Lankford and Acting Assistant Postmaster Roy Ellison. Williams began mail service in 1936 and served in roles from money order clerk to sorting.

The Brady Independent School District board will meet at 7 20 p m in the administration building. An appointing of a census taker for the 1970 school year, the new football schedule and spring event plans will be presented. Chester A. Woolsey Dies in Del Rio
Chester Arthur Woolsey of Del Rio died Tuesday evening in a Del Rio hospital after a sudden illness. Graveside rites were held Thursday at Hinds Chapel Cemetery, Lampasas County, directed by Wilkerson Funeral Home. He was born March 22, 1896 in Hamilton County and was a retired farmer who had lived in Del Rio 11 years. Survivors include two sons James Woolsey of Odessa and Claude Woolsey of Snyder, a brother-in-law Tommy Cook of Brady, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Brady Junior High seventh and eighth grades lost to Llano on October 28 in Llano. The seventh graders were shut out 12 to 0 and the eighth grade 26 to 0. Coach Starnes blamed turnovers and a stalled bus delay for momentum loss. The Burnet game was postponed indefinitely due to wet grounds. They will play San Saba November 6 and Brownwood November 11 at home.

Robert Campbell Dies After Monthlong Illness
Robert Campbell 39 of South Lake Tahoe Calif died at 3 45 p m Tuesday in the San Francisco Veterans Hospital after a month long illness. Funeral services will be at 2 p m Friday in the South Lake Tahoe Presbyterian Church with burial in South Lake Tahoe. He was born and reared in Brady. Survivors include his wife, his parents Mr and Mrs John Henry Campbell of Brady, a brother Ricky Campbell of Brady, and four sisters Mrs Juanita Patterson Moody Mrs Eva Joyce McCormick of Killeen Mrs Doris Hicks of Midland and Mrs Paula Krout of Hayward Calif.
