District 21 B adopts schedule for basketball season
Seven schools in District 21 B will play a double round robin this year with home and away games. Members met in Melvin to set the plan. District includes Melvin Eden Eola Rochelle Paint Rock Lohn and Richland Springs. D Edwards Lohn superintendent was elected chairman and Glyndor Snodvick Lohn coach named secretary. District play begins in December and runs through February 21 with tournaments set for Rochelle Lohn Paint Rock Eden.

Hurd’s Turkey Second in Dallas at Pan American Show
Walter Hurd of East Sweden breeder won reserve grand champion for a broad breasted bronze hen at the Pan American Livestock Exposition in Dallas. Barnett Inc. of Marlin took grand championship with a broad breasted white old tom. Hurd’s bird also earned champion single in the bronze variety. Fall Clean-Up Of Library Completed
