Brady Texas adopts milk regulation ordinance and penalties
The Brady city council enacts an ordinance regulating production transport processing handling sampling examination grading labeling and sale of milk and milk products within the city and police jurisdiction. It provides for inspection of dairy herds dairies and plants and for permits to milk producers haulers and distributors with penalties and emergency provisions. After 12 months only certified pasteurized Grade A milk products may be sold to final consumers restaurants and grocers unless the distributor meets grade requirements or authorities suspend permits.

Ricks Shows Champion Heifer at Angus Sale
The Grand champion Angus bull was sold for 1375 to W McGinley of Harper at the 11th Hill Country Angus Association Show and Sale in Fredericksburg. The champion female shown by Mrs Kurtz and Sons of Winters sold to Williamsereck Roach of Farpley. 114 head grossed 36040 with bulls averaging 357 and females 255. New officers include Dr GH Ricks of Brady as president. Dan Miller, vice president. O Grona, treasurer. C A Stone, secretary.
