Community Improvement Program expands across Texas
A new and improved Community Improvement Program is announced by Rea wan brows, extension rural sociologist, and Texas Agricultural Extension. The program partners with electric utilities to sponsor a state wide contest with eight district awards from 3100 to 235 and state level prizes of 519 400 and 201 for communities ranking first to third. County extension offices offer enrollment and agents provide additional information. Turkeys for Thanksgiving are discussed with buying and cooking tips, including weight guidelines and USDA inspection and grade tags to look for.
