Brady hosts first annual Quarter Horse Show at Jubilee grandstand
About 100 registered Quarter Horses from Texas Oklahoma and New Mexico are entered for Brady Texas Saturday event. Halter classes start at 9 a m with performance classes at 2 p m spectators may come and go free admission. Judges Punk Snyder and Sig Jernigan preside over arena built 300 by 147 feet.

Luke Vogel announced Thursday the appointment of Golden Jones as deputy sheriff. Jones, former chief of the Brady Police Department, will replace Dorman Gibbs who resigned to become Brady police chief. Jones has eight years as a peace officer in McCulloch County.

Spence Bid Low On Diesel Fuel For Power Plant
