The Brady High School Bulldog Band presents a Sunday concert at 3 p.m. in the BHS auditorium to honor past Band Booster presidents. Ernst Otte leads the boosters. former presidents include Egan Fowler and others. The program features a Scott folk medley, a Brady Band library march, trumpets wild trio, polkas, a tango, marches and popular numbers. Tickets cost 50 cents for adults and 25 cents for children.

Gas Company Repairs Break in River Line Near Brady
Empire Southern Gas Company fixed a submerged 6 inch line under the Colorado River near the Santa Anna highway bridge by Tuesday afternoon. Temporary 2 inch line across the bridge restored service by 6 pm after industrial customers were cut off and others asked to conserve. County Agent Cusenbary warns that army worms are moving east of Met loch and could damage oats quickly. He notes larvae feed on leaves and multiplication is rapid. Insecticides suggested include 10 percent DDT or 20 percent toxaphene dust 10 to 15 pounds per acre or toxaphene DDT mix 11 to 13 quarts per acre as spray.
