Hundred Entries Confirmed for Heart O Texas Memorial Day Tourney

Postal Rate Hike Effective Here Sunday
Postmaster T A Lankford announces that most postal rates rise Sunday May 16 under the Postal Reorganization Act as the new rate system begins. First class letters go 6 to 8 cents an ounce and air mail 10 to 11 cents. post cards 5 to 6 cents, air mail cards 8 to 9 cents. Second and third class increases follow with phased implementation over five to ten years pending funds. Canada and Mexico letter rates will also rise.
