R L Burns 81 Ex County Commissioner Dies in Brady
R L Burns 81 pioneer McCulloch County stock farmer and former county commissioner died at 10 55 p m Tuesday at his Brady home. Born December 26 1876 in Burnet County he moved to McCulloch County at age six and lived there ever since. He served as county commissioner from 1920 to 1924 and was deputy sheriff for a time. He remarried Cordelia Brockman in 1910 after his first wife Minnie Brown died in 1907. Survivors include his wife five sons Oliver Marvin S J Louis and George Burns in Calcutta India and others in Dallas Brady San Angelo and El Paso plus five daughters 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral was conducted by Dr C W McCullough at Wilkerson Funeral Home with burial at Mt Tabor Cemetery near Voea.

O W Arthur Former Melvin Ginner Dies in Abernathy
McCulloch County residents report the death of O W Arthur at his Abernathy home after long illness. A Melvin resident for 16 years he built the Marco Gin in 1926 and managed it until 1942. Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ with burial in Abernathy cemetery. he is survived by his wife two daughters and a son.
