Brady Relays Set Here This Weekend In 30th Run
About 250 athletes from across the state will compete in the 30th Brady Relays at Brady on Saturday. Sixteen teams including Comanche, Hamilton, Junction, San Saba, Cisco, Merkel, Mason, Ranger, Early, Goldthwaite, Bangs, Rochelle, Cherokee, Santa Anna, Brady and Brady JV entered. Brady coach Del Wilson, also meet director, notes the track is fast and may yield records if conditions stay windless. The event, a long-standing Heart of Texas meet, has been held since 1937 with Brady, Brownwood and San Angelo historically dominant. The Brady Relays emphasize special relays and follow UIL rules with six events per boy.
