4-H and FFA Members Exhibit Show Animals
McCulloch 4-H and Brady FFA members placed multiple animals at the San Angelo Stock Show. Deborah Matthiesen, daughter of Norbert and (Doole) Matthiesen, took second in heavyweight finewool lambs and sold the lamb for 200 dollars bred by Irby McWilliams of Menard. Other placers included Calvin McWilliams and Menzies McWilliams with lambs and steers. Mike and Jerry Probst showed Angus heifers. County Agent Jerry DeBord praised their preparation. the McWilliamses also recently exhibited in Houston and sold a fine wool lamb there.

State Health Rep Checks Hospital Needs in Brady

Bloodmobile to Visit Brady on Tuesday March 23
The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be at Fourth and Bridge Street Church of Christ in Brady from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Officials reported past drives yielded 138 pints and 102 pints, noting ongoing high demand and generosity from Brady and McCulloch County residents. Brady Schools Supt C A Reynolds bragged of four black bass caught at Brady Lake with the Wooly googer bait. The four fish weighed 19 1/4 pounds total, largest at 7 3/4 pounds. Partners declined to be named.
