Blood Drive Urges More Donations in McCulloch County

McCulloch County residents use more Red Cross blood than they donate with a June 27 bloodmobile visit planned at the First Christian Church fellowship hall from 11 am to 4 pm. Donors should arrive by 10:30 am. 25 volunteers are needed to support the event, the last visit of the fiscal year.

Brady West Pointer Heads to Germany on NATO Mission

First Lt. Ronald Salter, a 1959 West Point graduate, and his wife visited his Brady parents and friends while en route to a new assignment in Germany. Salter leads a nuclear warhead detachment trained at Fort Bliss Texas to support a NATO missile unit, departing together for Europe. Mrs. Salter hails from Thomasville Georgia.

Plateau Opens Cafe Saturday at Plateau Motel

The Plateau Motel unveils its new restaurant this Saturday morning. Built by Billy Jack Neal, it seats 60 at the counter and main dining area, plus 64 in a private dining room. Exterior features red cedar and masonry with mahogany paneling inside.

Little Boys Track Meet at BHS Stadium Saturday Night

Boys from Prady Llano and San Saba aged 0 to 14 will compete at Bulldog Stadium Saturday night beginning at 7 30 in a program by coach Ed Whiteley. About 100 Brady boys trained in the summer program plus 65 from San Saba and Llano will test dashes relays jumps and field events with adults invited to help.

Woman Leaves Funds to City for Cemetery Maintenance

Brady Meets Coleman In Baseball Sunday

The Brady Bulldog baseball team will play the Coleman Colts at Richards Park at 2 30 p m Sunday. Tickets cost 50 cents for adults and 25 cents for students. The Brady lineup includes players from the Brady Teen Age League. This is the second game of a two game series following a 6 4 loss in Coleman.
