Grand Jury Reaches Five True Bills in Local Session
The 198th District Grand Jury returned five true bills and three no-bills after meeting with Judge A. P. Allison. Among those charged were Sammy Zapata of Rochelle for burglary and forgery, and Billy Lee Garza of Lubbock charged with aggravated assault in the death of Julio Ledezma. George Adams of Mercury faced a reckless conduct with a firearm count. One bill was issued against a person not in custody with identity withheld. Funeral details for Hettie Montgomery, 65, Brady, are pending after her death at Heart of Texas Memorial Hospital.
