Mrs. Utsey Hosts Fife Club Meeting
The Fife Home Demonstration Club met July 13 at the home of Mrs. O. C. Utsey with seven members and two visitors. Mrs. Utsey presided in the president’s absence. Mrs. James Finlay was elected alternate council delegate and Mrs. Utsey became vice president. Bob Pearce announced dates for the annual encampment and the state THDA meeting. Tom Hickman demonstrated a ming tree craft and showed a seedling cherry tree to illustrate growth.

Day Camp Plans Set and Reports Completed
Mc Culloch County Girl Scouts Day Camp staff met on Thursday July 13 to review reports and finalize 1962 camp dates June 4 through 7 at Simpson Lake. Visitors Night on June 8 featured a barbecue, with 125 parents and girls attending a closing ceremony and wildlife program by Eugene Willman.

Family Recreation Session Led by South Brady HD Club
Mrs. Fount Stroope hosted Tuesday morning at 9 30 for the South Brady Home Demonstration Club. Members answered roll with an enjoyed event and stressed the goal be happy. Mrs. John Guice presided as president and check sheets for Better Health for Better Living were submitted. State meeting in San Angelo August 9 10 was announced. Mrs. Stroope presented the program.

The group discussed recreating for families with activities spanning music art reading and games. Scrapbooks and rock crafts were suggested. girls could mount photos on ribbons and families might grow flowers. Mrs Stroope led two games. nine members shared melon balls coffee and doughnuts. The next meeting features an all day fishing trip and picnic on the San Saba River September 12 hosted by Mrs M J Bean.
