Rochelle FHA learns Caribbean life through slides at high school
Mrs. C W McCullough led Rochelle High School unit of Future Homemakers of America in a "Cruise around the Caribbean" slide program with eight years in Jamaica San Andres and Colombia. Members wore world traveler outfits and displayed trinkets from many countries. The WSCS met at the church with devotions on international customs. Plans were announced for March of Dimes chili supper bake sale and a Daughter Mother ball game fund raiser. The Belle and Beau Banquet was set for February. The group prepared a worship center with Japanese souvenirs as Mrs Hare gave a devotion on discipleship. The study covered Cross and Crisis in Japan, noting Japanese families access to the Bible and religious education, and the need for strong Christian churches there.
