Mrs. Delle Landis, 77, died Sunday Jan 19 after long illness following a hip fracture in Houston. Funeral held at First Baptist Church Cleveland with burial beside husband. Survived by four daughters, one son, seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Mr and Mrs C A Watson attended the funeral and returned to Brady.

Melvin AF Man Completes Police Course in Oregon
Richard Castanuela of Melvin an air policeman at the Portland Air Force Base completed 320 hours of training at the Portland Police Academy. City Opens Bids On Well Pump No.5 Project
The City Council opened bids for pumping equipment to activate the new No.5 well on the south side. City engineers Freese Nichols Endress of Fort Worth will evaluate bids before a contract is issued. The meeting also granted a 30 day extension for sewer out fall line construction and discussed a No Parking Zone near Brady Hospital to aid ambulance access along Grove Street.
