Icy Brady Streets Slow Traffic Amid Cold Weather

Mrs. Finlay Dies at 94 After Long Illness

Mrs. Jim Finlay, 94, died Tuesday at a local nursing home after a long illness. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Wilkerson Memorial Chapel with burial at Rest Haven Cemetery. Born October 25, 1877 in Luling, she had lived in Brady 50 years and was a First Baptist Church member. Survivors include three sons Earl Finlay Brady W A Finlay Coleman Ralph Finlay Corpus Christi a daughter Mrs Malcolm Jordan Cherry Spring seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Brady City Council Rejects Water Chlorination Plan

The Brady City Council declined a State Health Board recommendation for continuous water chlorination citing cost and taste impact. The 35th District Grand Jury met in the Mc Culloch County courtroom and returned four true bills nine no bills and one pass. George Day and W Murray Jordan presented the cases and Arthur Lee Powell of Austin was indicted for theft over 50 dollars at Fleming's Barbecue Stand last fall.

Voters Registered So Far For 1972 Election
