Two Men Arrested After Till Tapping Near Fredonia
Two men were arrested Wednesday afternoon about three miles east of Fredonia after allegedly taking money from Bill's Liquor Store on South Bridge Street in a till tapping incident. Sheriff Bill Strickland received the call around 4:30 p.m., and an all-points bulletin led to the arrest by Patrolman Leon Atchison of the Texas.

Mrs. Edgar Young 89 Dies After Illness in Texas
Mrs. Edgar Young aged 89 dies at Heart of Texas Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Services set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Wilkerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Hugh Magee officiating.
