Lankford's Coin Operated Laundry announces a formal opening on Monday and Tuesday, December 29 and 30, with free wash for family customers. Regular hours start 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and then switch to 24 hours daily after Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Lankford own the business in the Dairy Land building. The facility has 20 washing machines and eight dryers. Wash 20c per load and dry 10c per washer load. Bring your own soap and bleach.
Mr. and Mrs. R L Mannen will join Mrs Ted Moffett in Dilley for Christmas. They plan to meet their son in law and daughter Mr and Mrs Jim Carroll of Pearsall there.
Brady freshman Anita Jordan was chosen as one of the University of Texas Ten Most Beautiful Girls in a Theta Sigma Phi contest. The finalists were photographed for The Daily Texan and selected by Paul Newman in Hollywood. Anita, valedictorian of Brady High 1958 and current Bulldog Band drum major, learned of the honor in a formal notice.
