The Ernst Otte home captured first prize in the Christmas Home Decoration contest sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. First prize money of $25 was awarded to the Ottes for their standout display.

Services Held For Mr. Oldham
Funeral services for Albert Carl Bud Oldham were held in Wilkerson Memorial Chapel. Oldham, a retired city employee, died Tuesday at Heart of Texas Memorial Hospital. Rev. Lamar Leifeste officiated. Burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery. He was born February 14, 1900 in Jones County and lived in Brady since 1905. He married Lillian Ecklund in 1919. Survivors include wife, a son, two daughters, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren, plus siblings and a brother in Brady.

Brownwood's AAA Lions edged the Brady Bulldogs 56-54 as Will Scott debut scored 22 points to lead Brownwood. Willie Jones poured 21 for Brady, Terry Penn added 11, and the teams traded leads through a tight four-quarter battle in Brownwood.
