Brady Community Chorus led by Mrs. Don Hale will present The Messiah at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church. About 50 members from local churches including First Methodist and Trinity Methodist will sing, with soloists James Mallow James Walton and Rev. Bill Poswell.

Leo Oates a Brady Steak House owner begins building a self service drive in named Leo’s at the corner of South Bridge and Burns Ave. The 40 by 45 foot brick building seats 44, features an all glass front and a drive up window for car orders, with a front counter for walk up service. The menu with quick service will include hamburgers hot dogs fried chicken malts shakes and fries. The project backed by Dairy Mart franchise and Gunter Ogden of Brady as contractor aims to open by March 1.

McCulloch County livestock producers must raise $6,000 more to meet the $21,000 goal for the screwworm eradication program. Mrs. Dahlberg of Brady Dies at 76
Mrs. Charles Dahlberg, 76, longtime McCulloch County resident since 1910, died Thursday morning in Brady Hospital after a short illness. Born January 20, 1886 in Coalville Iowa, she married January 9, 1909. Funeral services set for 3 p.m. Friday at Wilkerson Chapel with burial at Rest Haven Cemetery. Survivors include son Lawrence Dahlberg of Corpus Christi, four sisters, two brothers and two grandchildren.

Brady Residents Open for Polio Vaccine Drive Sunday
Brady residents may receive the second dose of Sabin polio vaccine Sunday at the National Guard Armory from 12 noon to 6 pm with three service lines. McCulloch County clinics run in Rochelle and Melvin from 12:30 to 2:30 pm and 3:30 to 5:30 pm. Brady High School is not used. Free vaccine is offered to all with a 25 cent donation optional to cover costs. transportation to the armory is provided by calling LY 7-2118.
