David Marion Tally 80 retired Big Spring railroad foreman died in a Big Spring hospital. Born March 10 1882 in Red Rock he worked 15 years for Frisco Railroad and was a Baptist. Survived by five daughters including Mrs. C. R. Ingram of Brady and two sons. service at Nalley-Pickle Funeral Home in Big Spring at 10 a m Saturday.

Scout Lodge Repaired for Community Use in Brady
The City funds a 500 repair to the Boy Scout Lodge to restore a community space and meeting venue for 4 H clubs and family reunions. Reynolds Receives Freshman Letter With ACC Team
Charles Reynolds, former all state back from Brady High, earned a freshman letter at Abilene Christian College Wildcats. He played quarterback, saw debut versus Howard Payne, then became a regular. his 38-yard pass to A M Dycus highlighted a Hardin-Simmons game. He threw for 116 yards and two TDs in the 28 18 homecoming win over Arlington State. He then joined ACC junior varsity basketball.

Texans Aim to Set Holiday Traffic Safety Record
Gov Price Daniel urged Texas to drive safely during Christmas and New Year as part of a statewide traffic safety campaign. He noted holiday deaths averaged 87 over the past five holidays versus 195 previously and called on media, police, schools, and drivers to join in reducing fatalities. George W. Jones of Brady played Friday December 14 with the North Texas State University Concert Band in its annual fall concert. The group of about 90 musicians, directed by Maurice McAdow, performed concert and march music. Jones, a freshman music education major, plays in the tuba section and is the son of Mr and Mrs Warren Jones of Brady.

Yale Decoration Winners Named in Chamber Contest
The Chamber of Commerce announced winners for its Christmas decoration contest.
