Brady Trustees Lower Tax Rate At Hearing
Brady Independent School District trustees cut the property tax rate from 1.66 to 1.57 per 100 valuation at a Monday budget hearing. The district revalued at 42,498,215, with 21,247,108 basis for the new rate. Final operations budget totals 847,440 with 52,521 federal Title I funds and 500,995 state funds. Rural valuation is 15,736,641 while city valuation is 18,257,604.

City Brady electricity reaches all time generation high
City Superintendent James Feazelle reported that Brady city power output rose to a 24 hour total of 138000 kwh marked by a new peak hourly load of 8050 kwh at 3 30 p m. The average peak for the day was 5750 kwh with the previous peak set on August 13 1969.
