Public Notice of 1965 Texas Constitutional Amendment
The state announces a public vote on a four year term for State Representatives to be held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November 1965. Ballots will include for and against the constitutional amendment. If adopted, Governor to issue proclamation. if rejected, terms of House Joint Resolution No 1 remain and will be re submitted in November 1966.

Ton, Rindy and Ranay of Las Vegas Nevada spent the afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Ted der of Wife Mike Riley of Oklahoma City joined by Mr. and Mrs. Harroll Shage and their child from Galveston. Paratrooper Lester Jennings has recently volunteered for the Army Airborne and left August 3 for Camp Polk Louisiana for basic training. He is a 1963 graduate of Lohn High School, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Jennings of Gobn.

Texas Legislature proposes Senate Joint Resolution 14 to amend Article IV Sections 4 22 and 23 to establish four year terms for Governor Lieutenant Governor Attorney General Comptroller Treasurer Commissioner of the General Land Office and Secretary of State with related election proclamation publication and sunset provisions.
