Five injured in Rio Ranch car grain truck crash near Brady

A noon collision at Ranch Road 42 and Highway 87 south of Brady injured five people. The worst city crash in years left one woman seriously hurt and three others with moderate injuries. no fatalities. The Valentine Monreal family from Ciudad Acuna were occupants in the car which collided with a Mason Feed Store grain truck.

Brady Dogs Set for Little State Meet at Corpus Christi

Brady High School prepares a state bound track squad for the Little State Meet in Corpus Christi Saturday night. Coach Fletcher Fields notes the open meet will seed entrants by state qualifying times and expect as many as 50 schools. Team members include Mike Leifeste and James Miller in multiple sprints and relays, with alternates Willie Jones and Don Meneight(s) aiding the 440 and mile relays.

Marie Moore 65 Brady Beauty Operator Dies

Marie Louise Moore, 65, of Brady, died Thursday at Brady Hospital after a long illness. Funeral at 2 p.m. today in Wilkerson Memorial Chapel. burial in Nest Haven Cemetery. Born December 4, 1905 in Camp San Saba, she lived in McCulloch County all her life and was a retired beauty operator. Survived by husband Lonzo H. Moore, two sisters Annie Meredith and Cynthia King, two brothers Earl Cude and George Cude, and several nieces and nephews.
