Mrs. Luella Davenport and 7 year old Katemey Davenport died at 9 50 p m Tuesday in Brady Hospital. Born September 22 1870 in Joplin Missouri she was survived by three sons and five daughters with numerous grandchildren great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Funeral held at 3 p m Wednesday at Bethel Church with burial in Bethel Cemetery under Wilkerson Funeral Home guidance.

Heart O Texas Singers Reunion Opens in Brady
As many as 1000 visitors are expected Sunday for the Heart O Texas Singers Reunion at Brady High School. The event begins Saturday night with a concert by five featured quartets at 8 o clock and singing runs Sunday 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Lunch is served at noon in the cafeteria. Quartets include De Carver and the Cavaliers Fort Worth Melody Four Burnet Hoover Girls Ham Family and Kings Men. The Ham Family features Hl Ham and his three sons with Mrs Ham on piano. Mrs A C Stewart of Voca is president and invites all to attend.

The Brady High School Bulldog Band will compete Friday in Abilene at the Interscholastic League concert playing and sight reading contests. Last fall the band earned a first division rating in marching, the league’s first contest of the season.

Boy Ranchers Off Monday On Dallas Trip
Almost 100 McCulloch County FFA and 4 H Club youths will travel to Dallas for the feeding program’s annual educational trip. Seventy five boys and one girl Gayle Virdell of Rochelle will participate, with 19 autos and about one adult per four youths. They tour Safeway’s center Love Field Paymaster Feed Mill Sears Roebuck Republic Bank Merrill Lynch and will stay overnight on the State Fair grounds. Prize money and the trip funded by a livestock auction and local donations.

Sallie Souther an 83-year-old Madison Wisconsin widow and former Brady resident may inherit most of a 10 million dollar estate. Her late cousin Charles Tatum left or revoked prior wills and a 1945 will favored charities while Mrs Womble claimed funds. Brady High Teacher Receives American Heritage Scholarship
