The 7th District Conference of the Texas Congress of Parents and Teachers will hold its annual meeting in Brady in 1959. The invitation came at Fredericksburg where the 1958 meeting occurred, extended by Mrs. R. L. Akins, president of Brady City Council of PTAs. Attendees included Supt C. A. Reynolds and Prin C. A. Ethridge along with Mrs. Salter and others.

Farm Bureau to Launch Membership Campaign Kickoff
Gene Leach of Waco will speak at a McCulloch County Farm Bureau coffee Monday to start the membership drive. The event at the cooperative building begins at 9 a.m. Directors, community chairmen, and their wives will attend. County chairman Harry Hanson and J. D. Jordan of Mason will be present. The goal is 430 members. Leach is Texas Farm Bureau legislative director since 1955. He holds a B S in vocational agriculture from Sam Houston and is a Marine Corps Reserve captain.

W A Wilder Retired Postal Clerk Dies at 76
William Andrew Wilder 76, retired Brady Post Office clerk, died 9 40 p m Tuesday in Brady Hospital. Born April 6, 1882 in Bastrop, he moved to Brady in 1914 and served 32 years. Funeral was at Wilkerson Funeral Home with burial in Rest Haven Cemetery. He married May 2, 1906 to the former abace Conoley. Survivors include his wife three daughters five grandchildren and two great grandchildren three brothers and three sisters. Pallbearers named.
