Passing By and Local Honors Highlight Brady Events

The Brady community celebrated the Chamber of Commerce banquet and the Brady Relays with Wayne Spiller receiving McCulloch's Most Distinguished Citizen for 1975. Proceeds from the Bicentennial Centen nial Edition go to the McCulloch County Historical Museum, with copies offered to subscribers and extra copies at $1.50 plus 80 cents postage. Yard beauty around Brady, notably the Harris residence, contrasts with parking woes at the races held at G Rollie White Downs.

Handbook of McCulloch County History Goes to Publisher

The Handbook of McCulloch County History compiled by Wayne Spiller has gone to the publisher and will be ready for distribution in October or November. Brady All Sports Banquet Highlights New Mentor

Brady High School honored its athletes at the All Sports banquet with coach Paul Jette praising heart discipline and dedication. He urged athletes to train through pain, parents to avoid overprotection, and students to embrace responsibility and enjoyment in sports. Lynn Favor received Outstanding Girl Athlete honors, Abel Moreno and Robert Myers earned top awards, with Myers named to the All-District tackle position and Moreno to the second team halfback.
