McCulloch County Cook Book planned for April edition
The Standard announces a special McCulloch County Cook Book section in the Friday April 29 issue. Donna Pittman curates 200 plus recipes from readers with Barbara Moorman handling ads. Subscriptions include a free copy. extra copies cost 50 cents. A vaccine clinic by Mrs. James Dale Carson is set for April 19 at South Ward Elementary. Immunizations offered to preschoolers include polio DPT measles and rubella.

James Myers Services Held Wednesday
James William Myers 73 of Richland Springs died Monday at Methodist Hospital Dallas. Services were held at Wilkerson Memorial Chapel with Carl Gentry and Danny Woodridge. Burial in Cowboy Cemetery. Survivors include his wife Cora Armentrout two sons two daughters two brothers three sisters and 15 grandchildren plus three great grandchildren.

Carson a nurse at Heart of Texas Memorial Hospital for 26 years and a Brady Public Schools nurse for three years exemplifies calm leadership saying we are one big family and often offering encouragement.

Futurity Winner To Net 12735 For Efforts
The Quarter Horse Futurity finals will purse about 12735 to the winner with 955 to the last finisher as 79 horses contested the trials. Top Thoroughbred Futurity will pay 6282 to the winner and 2972 to the Derby winner, while trials yielded fast times for Native Vitality and Smooth Doll.
