City Drills Deep Well on East Tarrant Street
The city tested a new deep well on East Tarrant street yielding 80 gallons per minute for an hour and expected to reach 100000 gallons daily of soft clear water. Bowie Lake nearly full again within 36 inches of spillway Wednesday night, aiding fire fighting and domestic and commercial use.

Bowie High band members traveled to Enid Oklahoma for a Band Festival. Their trip was funded mainly by a Monday concert here which critics called the best entertainment yet, with proceeds totaling 425 dollars credited to George Rucker who thanked supporters for cooperation.

Work begins on a modern all steel fireproof grain elevator at the Gregory Feed and Seed Store on South Smythe street. The six section structure will store about 20 000 bushels and replace an old frame rear building. Gregory also adds mixing equipment for custom milling and mixed feeds.
