Bowie Hospital Auxiliary launches Operation Love fundraiser
The Bowie Hospital Auxiliary will officially launch Operation Love on Friday at 8:30 in the Community Room of the First National Bank Building. The campaign seeks donations to buy a complete heart care unit for Bowie Memorial Hospital, including a pace maker, heart rate meter, defibrillator, cardioscope, Synchro-Trigger, and Phono-Tel, with a $3,000 goal to start.

A large parade is set for June 29 in Bowie to kick off a three day gala celebrating pioneer days in Texas. The parade starts at 4 30 PM near Bowie Junior High and proceeds through downtown. Cash prizes go to top floats with first prize 75 dollars, second 50 dollars, third 25 dollars.
