Wharf Fish Men to Move

Plans in keeping with the Boston-1915 movement are under way by the T Wharf Fish Corporation to move the fish industry from T wharf to near Commonwealth docks in South Boston before 1914. President Frank Blanchard cites cramped quarters and outdated plants, noting the shift will benefit the state and shorten transport to the South terminal, with 75 percent of Boston fish heading that way. The move is welcomed by fish dealers, though current facilities are described as cramped and unsanitary by the Board of Health.
