William Harrington and Alonzo Johnson, assistants at Morgan Memorial printing plant, were arraigned and found guilty for raising pay orders by altering slip figures. Harrington received an eight month suspended sentence with restitution. Johnson’s case was continued for record locking. Alleged overpayments totaled 47 and 51 dollars respectively.
President Wilson and congressional committees agree that no official delegation from Congress will be sent to Europe for the present. No action will occur before adjournment, with invitations left for the future.
