Miss Margaret L. Foley a suffragist says a patrolman from Station 10 rough handled her at Roxbury Crossing during a rally. She and two fellow suffragists were hurried to the Roxbury Crossing station. After midnight they left, but a mob of several hundred taunted them as they were chased past the station with a Post reporter in tow.
Miss Foley cites patrolman 1055 of Roxbury Crossing station and says he grabbed her by the throat punched her back stabbed her side with an elbow and knee before forcing her into the police station at a rally event.
At a Tremont Street rally near Roxbury Crossing Democratic candidate James McInerney faced disruption from suffragists led by Mrs. Susan Fitzgerald. Police intervened after remarks about a protester and threats of arrest, escorting the women to Station 10 before the event ended.

Mrs Gertrude Patterson shot and killed her husband Charles A Patterson in Denver. Charles A Patterson, a former Chicago broker, had previously sued Emil Strauss, a Chicago clothing manufacturer, in a suit over alleged alienation of Mrs Patterson's affections two years earlier.
Citizens learn the new law on direct nominations. Voters who miss today’s primaries may not sign nomination papers next year unless enrolled in a party. Enrollment allows voting on election day and can be switched in writing with officials’ approval.
