Dr O N Cages of Boston and Miss Monai Gibson of Manchester N H were drowned at Fort Pond as they attempted to rescue two nurses Miss Gibson and Miss Lena Westover were swimming beyond their depth and Dr Dages was pulled under by Miss Gibson all three had worked for the Boston Floating Hospital with Dr Dages as senior house officer and the two nurses as staff.
