The mayor recounts a seven minute airship flight with Mr. Grahame-White. He notes initial calm under expert navigation, with thrills limited to a brief flutter and turn when caught in an air current, then the craft resumes smooth flight at about 50 miles per hour.
President Taft cheers as Mayor John F. Fitzgerald rides Farman biplane three times around Squantum in front of 25 000 spectators. Fitzgerald returns to the ground with a smile while Taft and Grahame-White exchange congratulations and offer a ride to Mrs Taft.
The forecast calls for cloudy skies with a good chance of local showers this afternoon if winds shift to westerly. Winds start light then rise to 14 to 16 mph at noon, easing toward evening. Temperatures may reach 70 to 80 degrees. Flying conditions today should be fair to good, with morning flying especially favorable.

More than 200 men fought on Court Street in the West End last night causing sailors to flee Bowdoin to Scollay Square. Knives were said to be used and many were injured on both sides as police failed to control the crowd.

Navy reports three dead and ten injured after a fuel oil fire in boiler No. 3 aboard the battleship North Dakota en route to Hampton Roads. The ship transferred casualties to the Solace. an investigation board is appointed as engineers note this is a unique, not yet explained incident.
A nocturnal disturbance began in a neighborhood cafe when dining sailors quarrelled with a party of young civilians after girls left them. The sailors attacked as they outside reached the street, and the crowd dispersed without arrests or known injuries.
