Lexington public schools begin the fall term with a new eight room school building in East Lexington. Built of red brick with sandstone trim, it is designed fireproof and allows four additional rooms. Located behind Follen Church and Cary Memorial Branch Library near Massachusetts avenue, the project by Brainard and Leeds of Boston includes graded grounds and future expansion.

Man Confesses to Mail Robberies in Pawtucket
Henry H. Cochran a 34 year old janitor at the Pawtucket postoffice was arrested by postal inspectors and confessed to stealing letters from the mails. He pleaded for clemency, saying he could not support his wife and two children on about 13 dollars a week. Inspectors watched Cochran secreted in a room and saw him take letters from carriers desks before routes.

Two Drivers Escape in Forest Hills Auto Crash
Two cars collided at the Walk Hill and Canterbury corner in Forest Hills at 5 30 last evening. Neither driver was seriously injured. Frank Hunter of Roxbury steered a New England Telephone vehicle east on Canterbury and Elbert Lobett of Norwell drove a Lobett residence car south on Walk Hill. The Lobett car was towed to a Blue Hill garage after damage to running gear. Hunter returned to the telephone company garage after brief repairs.

Baby Jumps From Window in Newburyport Tragedy

Private probe on today in Bar Harbor wreck inquest
Coroner Eli Mix of New Haven county will resume tomorrow morning his private inquest into the fatal Bar Harbor Express wreck at North Haven last Tuesday. The coroner expects the inquest to conclude Friday with findings issued a few days later. Boy dies after kite hits power lines near home
