John Buffer age 40 of Woonsocket Rhode Island fell from an outing truck at Nantasket rolling beneath a rear wheel. The truck carried 45 people and was driven by Alfred Jolly of Woonsocket. Buffer’s mother was aboard the trip.

Thousands of residents and visitors were thrown into chaos between 8 and 9 p.m. when Nantasket’s electric lighting system failed. Car headlamps and a passing storm’s lightning provided the only illumination amid the districtwide blackout.

Rail men perish in shop fire at Pittsburg yards

Seven car repairmen employed at the Pennsylvania railroad were burned to death and ten were injured when a bunkhouse in the 30th street yards burned at dawn. The blaze caused about 220000 dollars in property loss and spread rapidly through the building, trapping workers.

State Solon Representative Mias W. Chase Dies

Representative Mias W. Chase of 15 Euclid Avenue Lynn died suddenly yesterday at his Conway New Hampshire summer home. Relatives received scant details. He is survived by a widow and his brother Chief Edward E. Chase of the Lynn Fire Department. He was found dead in his barn as if struck by a fall from the haymow.

Malden man linked to blotter mix up amid drama with revolver

Solomon Levine of 68 Linwood Street Malden was twice entered on the blotter within 30 minutes yesterday but proved innocent. After a neighbor disarmed Mrs Etta Robinson who fired a pistol at Levine the police arrived to find a man named Werlinski of New York exhausted from hunger and seeking work.

Autoists Face Arrest in Seven Accidents at New Bedford

New Bedford on September 3 reports seven motor vehicle crashes with one death and a critical injury. George Holcroft of Parkman Grove died after being struck by a car driven by Joseph Lehner at Acushnet Avenue and Ashley Boulevard. Manuel Gonzales, South Dartmouth, in critical condition after a wagon carrying seven people was struck by Edmund Hersey’s car on the New Bedford highway. Police seized names of 150 violators on the Faÿ River highway with 18 more on the old Fall River road. all are to be called into court.

Car Plunges Into Niagara Falls. Woman Dead

An automobile rolled over the cliff near Niagara Falls and fell 200 feet to the river margin. Mrs. Agatha Miller, 54, of Cleveland, wife of D. H. Miller, was killed in the crash and found at the water's edge.

Mrs Miller was alone in a car parked on the grass near the customs office at the American end of the bridge just north of the upper steel arch bridge. The vehicle faced the river when the 1:50 PM accident occurred.
